Album Notes

Get Ready! Here it comes! The humorous new novelty song, \"When J. Edgar Hoover Wore A Dress\", by singer-songwriter Bob Pyle.

The album\'s title song is about former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover\'s penchant for wearing women\'s clothes on the weekend. \"When J. Edgar Hoover Wore A Dress\" contains twelve original songs, done in Bob\'s signature offbeat style, blending elements of old time string-band music with contemporary arrangements. Bob is backed up on this CD by an entire old time string-band of first class musicians.

\"Apples and Oranges\", Bob\'s first CD, was played on over 100 radio stations worldwide, and the song \"I\'ve Been Restored\" was made into a national television commercial!

So jump in the limo, grab a dress, and join former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover for a night on the town!
You won\'t regret it!

A great CD! I heard the title song "When J. Edgar Hoover Wore A Dress" on the Dr. Demento show. It was voted one of the 25 funniest songs of the year. I can see why, it is hysterical! The other songs on the album are just as good including my second favorite, "West Virginia Serenade" I love old time string band music and music like this is why!!!!!
