Album Notes

Bob Robira is a songwriter who has been described as having a roughed up voice, strong melodies and interesting stories to tell. After a significant time away from the public musically, Bob returned in 2001 with the limited release of his first full length CD "Freetown". The CD received positive reviews and helped to insert his name into some of the musically rich South Louisiana songwriting circles. With the release of 'Too Far Gone" it is expected that more people will learn of this peculiar song crafter with a penchant for organic production values. Accompanying Bob on this release are a number of first class musicians who have experienced success in their own endeavors and who provide the songs with the backbone and musical swing of the project.

If you haven't had a chance to listen to Bob Robira's music this is a great time to start. If you already have some of Bob's albums let me a assure you that this is strongest performances in years. The tracks are solid, well arranged songs with cameo appearances by many south louisiana greats. It's a great album by a great south la songwriter.

This solid collection of new works from Bob Robira polishes his reputation as a great songwriter. Robira has lived a life and brings those hard-earned insights to bear in the eight tracks here. The surprise here is the diverse collection of musicians who worked on the tracks; something like a south Louisiana All-Star line up that, thanks to the use of modern technology, bring their various and respective talents to bear on the tunes here. There is nothing trivial going on here. If you're looking for music that will move your feet, your heart, and your mind, this CD is for you! MORE!!!
