Album Notes

I've been living a secret musical life for too long. For many years now, I've been primarily known as a jazz musician, playing, making jazz CDs and teaching jazz guitar at a university. But the music that first made me want to play as a ten-year-old was rock music: the Beatles, Stones, Byrds, Hendrix, Zeppelin, etc. And as soon as I could play anything at all, I began writing songs. That seemed like a natural thing to do; I never even wondered about that. Even though I took a career detour into jazz, I never stopped listening to, loving and writing rock tunes.

With this album, I'm honoring my long-overdue debt to a ten-year-old kid with his first guitar who dreamed of the day he'd have his own rock record. I wrote all the songs; I played all the instruments; I did all the vocals. I hope you have as much fun listening to this music as I did making it!
