Album Notes

Chris Bocast has played with many bands including The Mission U.K. and some accomplished solo artists such as Stephen Kent and John Loose (Trancemission). This album is, for the most part, a live record documenting the spatial, layered and sometimes intense guitar sounds that are a special part of his repertoire. Tracks 5 and 12 have 2 guitars; 4 is moog; 7 is grand piano; 11 is a bit of everything. Lots of lush ebow...

Tracks from this album have been featured regularly on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Channel 72, Spa, as well as many, many ambient radio shows across the U.S. and Canada. A full list of stations is available at chrisbocast.com.

Info on shows, new releases, and booking is available at chrisbocast.com. Chris will soon be releasing his next album with Romanian electronic percussion virtuoso MJ Catalin, as well as a new solo album and an audiobook on Ralph Waldo Emerson.

All tracks can be purchased as individual downloads from itunes.com. However, be aware that this release features an elaborate and beautiful fold-out cover (no jewel box) created by San Francisco artist John Hundt. Chris and John are old friends and the art is an integral complement to the music. This CD is worth buying for the cover alone!

Transcendental, ancient photon gazing perfection

The music from "Through the Airlock" is more than just music. It is a transcendental experience of perfection. Personally, I play it when gazing upon ancient photons of galaxies far, far away (stargazing) as it enhances the whole experience. However, I must warn potential listeners - do not play this CD when you drive a vehicle as it transports you to a whole other dimension; a rather hard thing to explain to the highway patrol.
