Album Notes

Bodhi Rock's first album release strongly reflects the musical background and diversity of all the members, combining elements of Jazz, Funk, Rock into a unique Roots Reggae blend. Each track on the EP offers a slight tribute to each style of Reggae in the current scene, with songs such as "Babylon" representing Roots Rock, "Is It the Way" representing Island/R & B Reggae, and "Dub" which incorporates jam band/Dub with a touch of Sade. The tracks "Cali Life" and "Seven Steps" shows a sound that is even more unique to the band itself. You can actually see the development of the band through these two tracks with "Cali Life (produced by John Avila of Oingo Boingo) " being the first song written by the band and "Seven Steps" the last.

This release is an introduction into the sound and roots of Bodhi Rock. Setting the stage for the future albums to come!
