Album Notes

We've been making music together for over 20 years now, playing clubs, restaurants, concerts, parties and festivals throughout North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia. We've opened for name acts like The Kingston Trio, Judy Collins, Leo Kottke, NGDB and Lionel Cartwright. We're also a regular part of several summer "concert in the park" music series in NC.

We're a three-voice, seven-instrument band. Louis Allen plays mandolin, bass guitar and harmonica. Rob Bodle plays guitar and banjo. John Warren plays guitar, dobro and harmonica. We tend to switch around
on lead vocals and instruments a lot, to keep things interesting. Depending on the venue, we often add a percussionist to the ensemble.

Our music is a combination of tasty bluegrass and contemporary folk-rock and country-rock tunes. We do original material, as well as unique interpretations of songs by artists like Dan Fogelberg, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Loggins & Messina, Poco, James Taylor, and Paul Simon. Our sound is acoustic, with emphasis on tight harmonies and clean picking. It's all dynamic, good-feeling music that appeals to a wide range of ages and tastes.

Our first CD, Signatures, was released in January, 1995, and our second, all-original-tunes CD Coming Up A Storm was released in the Fall of 2000.
