Boduli is a six-piece acoustical band whose members play the unique family of stringed instruments called the tamburica, which is the national instrument of Croatia. The tamburica is a family of stringed instruments that has a sweet, melodic sound and is still very popular in Croatia today. Although this music is still anchored by the traditional instruments - bas prim, bisernica, berde, cello, and kontra - tamburica music has evolved to include modern rythyms and instruments, including drums and guitar. Boduli is embracing this evolution by writing original music for the tamburica, along with original lyrics in the Croatian language, that respectfully preserves the beauty of the traditional music but infuses it with an exciting modern sound.
Boduli's fourth album in ten years, Bolje Nam Je Udvoje, features 10 original songs that truly represent the band's diverse and modern styles. As with Boduli's last release, "Ti Dobro Znas," Vjeko Dimter produced the CD and co-wrote the songs. Vjeko is a renowned musical artist and producer from Croatia who has written hit songs for some of Croatia's most popular bands.
