Album Notes

The Body Beneath was formed in Early 2005 by Nick Kulczycki ( Ex Anal Blast, Pentagoria, Teratism) and Ned Tieche ( Ex With Dead Hands Rising ). Ned posted a bulletin that we were looking to start a new project and Eric Keyes ( Vocals) and Andrew Markham ( Drums) who had just been in a project called, "To The Burning End", were looking for something new and different as well. Also, we recruited Death Metal bass Guru Michael "Captain D.A" Presley into the mix, he had just parted ways with Incinerate and was kind of in the same boat as the rest of us.

At first, when we started jamming we had a much more old school death metal thrashier vibe, this definitely evident in the song, "Lusting For The Kill" and "Meticulous Dissection" from the first demo. As all of us starting jamming it became apparent as to who the most dedicated members were. In the beginning of 06 we had to part ways with Ned for creative differences. Without a second guitarist, we continued to write material,"Spiritual Exile" was the first song we wrote after Ned had left and definitely showed the changing of our song writing going away from the old school thrashier sound to a more technical aggressive death metal sound.

In February of 06 with met Joe Ruberto, an amazing guitarist we found at Guitar Center on a whim one day. We were totally blown away by his playing and quickly added him to the band.

It we had to describe our sound we definitely would say that we are a hybrid Death Metal band. Drawing influence from bands like Decapitated, Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Vital Remains, Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse and also bands like Despised Icon, The Red Chord, Ion Dissonance, and Beneath The Massacre.

With "Compelled To Suffer" ready to slay the masses in 07. The Body Beneath are Compelled to write our fans even more intricate songs and more intricate stage performances. The Body Beneath is the future of Extreme metal in The U.S, this is a definite! Welcome to our New Age of Carnage.
