The Body is a Salt Lake based band that features members from California and Salt Lake City. The Body fuses Funk, Reggae, Drum & Bass, and Hip-Hop in a revolutionary way. The Body has been featured in such venues as The Harryo's (Park City), The Urban Lounge, Monks House of Jazz, Vortex, Burt's Tiki Lounge, Ego's, Todd's, Snowbird Pavillian, Hard Rock Cafe, Liquid Joe's and The Lazy Moon. The Body will also be promoting their "Record Release Weekend" Feb25 @ Monks House Of Jazz and Feb26 @ The Urban Lounge. The Body is in the process of recording an eagerly anticipated second album. In the meantime they continue to play in venues across the Wasatch Front, getting people out of their seats and onto the dance floor wherever they play.
SL City Weekly's Bill Frost Wrote:
"Call Off The Search, The Body's full-length debut CD, hits streets tonight! "Unsigned, but not that broke," the local sextet recorded, packaged and promoted their latest effort D.I.Y. style; and the result is nothing less than 19 tracks of head-bobbin' pleasure. Melding elements of hip-hop, dub and funk, they cast origional notes, lyrics and beats against a fluid backdrop of live instrumentation. Armed with the sort of conscious music popularized by artists like the Roots, The Body aims to knock listeners upside the head and make them beg for more." -Bill Frost (Salt Lake City Weekly)
