All *right*!

Every Breath is the song that sold me this album (hooray! great voice, the tune that I like, and lyrics that don't make me twitch!), and though I'm not finished listening to it on iTunes yet? It's got some very nice stuff and the individual songs are well-rated. Can't wait till I have some free time to listen and appreciate the rest of it!

Very entertaining. Well done filk.
author: Bruce Feist
Most of the songs on this album are well done filk. For those who aren't familiar with the term, they're music from preexisting songs with new lyrics which for the most part are based on science fiction or fantasy. Unlike most filk, these songs are set to pop music rather than folk. A couple of them are self-referential -- Hotel Dealer Floor and Pharaohs of Filk are both about filk itself.
My favorites on the album are "the Knight's in White Satin" (you figure it out), "Mock the Turkey" (Mystery Science Theater 3000), and "Every Breath" (Star Trek: Deep Space 9).
Maya's voice is delightful and versatile, the lyrics are imaginative and fun, and the music is played well. Go for it.
