Album Notes

Bombyx Mori brings you the most unique fresh new sound you will find. This music is very easy to listen to with melodic vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, violin, flute and sax but it is extremely difficult to describe. With so many different influences such as pop, folk, rock, jazz, classical, electronica and world it just doesn't fit easily into any category but instead crosses genre boundaries to appeal to a wide audience.

The depth of this music reaches your soul and resonates with the creative source that is uniquely human. Most similarly resembling the music of Windham Hill artists Montreux, Shadowfax or Nightnoise but with Spanish lyrics. You simply must sample it yourself to find out why it is so appealing!

Bombyx Mori is a band comprised of music teachers who grew up under the 17 year imposed silence of Augusto Pinochet. During that time they absorbed music from around the world. They are now some of the leaders of Chile's modern day musical renaissance that is combining those global influences with their folk roots.
