\"tight harmonies and musicians who are truly attuned to each other...will have you toe tapping and humming along\"
New Mexico Magazine Feb. 08

Rooted firmly in the stark landscape of the West, Bone Orchard captures both the darkness and allure of the American Mythos. Their music is a journey down the Route 66 of legend, as it might have been had it started in rural Appalachia and detoured through the wild streets of Deadwood.

Drawing from traditional Appalachian influences, as well as the dissonance of bands like X and the Velvet Underground, Bone Orchard blends acoustic & electric guitars, banjo and mandolin to create an original sound of haunted beauty and purity, much like the wind swept mesas and wide blue skies of their hometown of Taos, New Mexico.

Their songs are at turns rollicking and mournful, gentle and violent. They exhibit rich vocal harmonies that soothe, all the while spinning dark and desperate tales that make you shiver. Bone Orchard concocts a delicious musical brew you\'ll want to gulp down…intoxicating and a little dangerous.

Bone Orchard is fronted by husband and wife team, Daniel Pretends Eagle on guitar, banjo and vocals, and Carol Morgan-Eagle on vocals. The band is rounded out by Chipper Thompson on mandolin, guitar and bajo sexto, Paul Reid on Bass and drummer Mark Bennett.

Amazing!!! Told in the metaphor of the not so distant vintage western landscape... just beneath the surface are universal cautionary tales. Bone Orchard has one of the most original sounds to come out of the West in years. Eery, plaintive Male/Female Duets ~ Wonderful contrast of Voices ~ Tight Dynamic Arrangements ~ Impeccable Instrumentation and Performances ~ Keep your arms inside the wagon & hang on tight!
