Have you noticed how many songs have been written about love? They seem to be of two types: Love found or love lost. I’d be willing to bet most folks have experienced both ends of that romantic spectrum. Either way, the feelings associated with those experiences seems to have inspired many a lovely song.
As for this CD, we didn’t necessarily set out to create a romantic album but as we reviewed our recent recordings from the Cactus Pear, we noticed that many of the best numbers dealt with either the devastation of a break-up (Baby, Won’t You Please Come Home) or the joy and expectations of new-found love (You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To) . Thus, we just lined up the tunes so as to tell the story of love lost and love found. And when you play this CD (and you will play this CD), you may find yourself reminiscing about the one who got away or appreciating the one who stayed.
