An amped up rebellion against the status quo, Bong Da Gong is a proud, aggressive sass with bouts of tipple-fueled mischief, impudence, laughter and tears. Featuring Singapore bands Stopgap, NO.IV, Embersity and Abyssal Dawn, this album starts off with NO.IV's hard rocking riffs coupled with mad guitar solos before passing the helm to Stopgap and their playful brand of funk rock. A crisp march of commandant-strut guitar signals the entry of Embersity whose enthralling tunes of twisted turns and heavy beats is juxtaposed against the infectious remixes of Junkenstein. Abyssal Dawn ends the uprising as catchy riffs and clinging rhythms charge their way through – each real, rambunctious and unapologetic.
