Alexander Bonus' fifth album (his third in 2006), Nachtmusik, explores the dark ambient world of the night hours. Produced to function as a clock, Nachtmusik runs 59:59 minutes, and cycles through a multitude of sonic associations and motives. The music is divided into four tracks--all created in darkness--and flows as does time, water, and the waxing and waning of the moon. Nachtmusik is Bonus' most conceptual album to date, and is intended for meditation, relaxation, and contemplation.
