Great CD with a range of music
author: John Burke
A great CD. I got it as a birthday gift for my son, an aspiring guitarist. His favorites are Vertical and the extras at the end of the CD. A nice range of musical styles, southern rock to acoustic, with a great message. Keep up the great work!

This was the best Cd I ever remember purchasing. I love the contrast between the rock and the slow tempoed songs. It is very inspirational. I love it.

Musically, the album is very strong. Most of the rhythms will leave you tapping your foot or playing the "faux" drums on your steering wheel (if your driving and listening in your car of course). Make sure you listen to the lead guitar through the album. From the subtle riffs played in the background to the loud, up front solos, it will definitely keep your attention.
The album starts loud and strong with three tracks that boast some strong guitar work and the message of the entire album. I personally enjoyed the 50s'esque be bopping, displayed in "Give". It's unique additions like this that place Boochie in a different class than just "rock". The album slows down for the first worship song in "All is Forgotten", a steadily rising song with a powerful message. The album takes another turn with the moody track "Brighten your eyes" and then touches absolute brilliance with "All the Kings Horses". I could write an entire review on this song alone. The delivery, the message, this song is what music is capable of accomplishing. The album smoothly moves back into its rock phase with "Plain and Simple" and "I'll Come Around" and then hits another high with two back-to-back praise songs "What should I fear" and "I am Safe". The use of female vocalists in these two songs is extremely refreshing and takes these tracks to another level. The simplistic poignancy of these tracks continues to show the range Boochie is capable of. The Chorus singing at the end of "What should I fear" is the strong point here and will definitely have you singing along. The album closes out its rock side with the track "Pull my String", which is a fitting song to showcase the bands energy. The soothing track "Voice" closes the album peacefully, a perfect reminder of the amazing lyrics and compilations Boochie can put together.
As a bonus, a "remix" of "All the Kings Horses" is placed at the end of the album, more piano driven this time. To me this shows what an incredible song this is because of its ability to remain powerful anyway that it is performed. (Is it obvious that I absolutely love "All the Kings Horses"?)
