ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If you happened to catch VH-1's recent broadcast recreating MTV's first day on the air, you may have noticed that between clips by Robert Plant and Cliff Richard there was a video for the song "Hold on to the Night" by a band called BOOTCAMP. That video and another for the song "I'm a Victim" were both shown that day and are possibly the only videos created expressly for MTV's premiere. Bootcamp originated in Baltimore and had loyal followings there and in New York, at various times sharing the concert bill with such '80's icons as The Tubes, Squeeze, The B-52's and Split Enz. But although the band released 2 EPs and several singles, there has never been a full length Bootcamp album . . . until now! BOOTCAMP: Back to the Shack! GREATEST HITS 1980-84 is now available! The CD features 10 of Bootcamp's most popular songs, including I'm a Victim, Fire in the Hole, A Woman's Touch, a brand new remix of Three Ring Circus and much more. It took 25 years, but it was, we hope, worth the wait!

Bootcamp is:
Bass & Lead Vocals TIM CAMP
Drums, Percussion & Vocals HOWARD ZIZZI
Keyboards, Sax & Vocals TOM ALONSO
Guitars & Vocals ROBERT FALLIN

unbelievable
Remember walking into MackNMeyers in Essex and seeing bootcamp when they 1st started and thought that they were terrible. One night my buddy and I went to a club downtown and saw them again..I couldn't believe it.I became a groupy after that..Bought all thier cassettes and now they are all gone. The best one was Bootcamp live.I was at the show...Thank you for giving us an outlet to relive the best times of our lives..

Bootcamp "Back to the Shack"
I used to see Bootcamp at Maxwells and the Barn in the Carney area. I have the Bootcamp and Bootcamp 5X4 EP's. I also had a Bootcamp "Bootleg" cassette tape until somebody broke into my truck and stole my tape! That broke my heart! I could not find the tape in record stores or the goodwill. I have waited a long time for this cd, it's fantastic, I listen to it in the car or truck. So this time I bought 2 in case "I"m a victim" again. I would love to see everything Bootcamp recorded come out on cd and dvd. Thanks for the memories and if at all possible, would love to see a reunion!

BOOTCAMP! I waited YEARS for this!!!
I am such a died in the wool fan it is sick! I grew up in the D.C./Northern Virginia area and these songs were the soundtrack of my high school years (oh, the stories I could tell). I waited SO long for this and am ecstatic! Tim, you guys need to release your two EP's and all the singles on a compilation in their original form, I still have the vinyl. I will order another copy because I am sure to wear this one out. Anxiously awaiting the complete compilation...hint, hint!!!
