Album Notes

What's a Bootleg Tonic?

Bootleg Tonic is a hot new band with a really tasty sound. A Bootleg Tonic cannot be made without its two main ingredients Georgiana Trent and Eran Taviv. The first Bootleg Tonic record showcases the band, their stories, and their bluesy-soulful sound.

Although Georgiana and Eran are from opposite sides of the world (Texas USA, and Tel Aviv, Israel), their chemistry began when they got in a room a few years ago and found that together they had a “sound.” They then decided to take that sound and bottle it up, by writing and producing their debut album VOLUME I.

The album also has an added twist of flavor with guest friends like the amazing B-3 organ player Ivan Neville (Rolling Stones, The Neville Brothers), and drummer Jerry Krenach (Lou Reed, Chris Whitley).

“We wanted to make an album that you put on and just play from beginning to end,” says Eran, and Georgiana adds, ”Every song has come from real experiences, and we just hope you can feel it.”

Gives me Chills

I had the honor of meeting Georgiana on the set of "Taking Woodstock", and at the time had no idea that she had the voice of an angel. The first time I listened to the cd, I was not only blown away by Georgiana's voice, but also by the music itself. These guys have a very different, soulful sound that's easy on the ears. I would recommend a little Bootleg Tonic to everyone.

I think that the lead singer used to live in my building in NYC. I used to listen to her rehearse and became one of her biggest fans - I screamed out the window to have whoever it was playing that music to tell me what band it was until I heard her voice reply asking me if i liked the sound. such a nyc moment. VERY excited to see there's a CD out and can't wait to get it!

Soulful and Exquisite!

This is the kind of album you play when you need to nurse a heartbreak, when the need for passion and romance is tonight, when the gang wants to sit around with a drink in one hand and a relaxing cigar in the other. Never before have I experienced music that could fit every mood I am in. It takes you from one extreme to the other. Bootleg Tonic is an addiction I don't want to get over. Thanks for the magic!
