The Border Songs CD project began as an effort to send a different message about immigration than the one dominating news of Arizona. The CD began as a regional effort to show the human story of the border and to raise money for humanitarian work. The project quickly grew beyond its regional scope as established international acts got wind of the Border Songs mission. The two-CD set represents an amazingly diverse collection of bilingual music and spoken word in support of huma rights along the USA/Mexico border.
