Album Notes

After graduating from university the boys in Bored Gordon decided to avoid the 'REAL WORLD' just a little bit longer. With marketing, music and Pharmacy degrees the boys decided they were very well qualified to a career in Rock'n'Roll. This lead to the beginning of 2 years of playing around New Zealand with cool bands like Voom, Deja Voodoo, Steriogram and the Sneaks. During this time they met Andrew from Powertool, NZ's coolest indie rock label, who has been a friend and supporter since. Bored Gordon's sound has been described as Fu Manchu covering Beatles songs. The band love fuzz rock but also like indie pop tunes and thus strive to achieve the best of both worlds. At the end of a six month recording process (yes they have jobs too) Bored Gordon have released their new album "Lie If You Have To" through Powertool Records and have already received a 5 star review in New Zealand's biggest music magazine Rip It Up.
