Album Notes

Boris Popovich is originally from Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He started his music education at "Kosta Manojlovich" music school in Belgrade at the age of ten. First six years he studied piano and then he continued with flute as his main instrument for another five years. He was always praised as exceptionally talented; his tone is warm and full, and his technique superb.

Boris immigrated to the US in 1998 during the war in Yugoslavia. He was employed by Verne Q. Powell Flutes in Boston, where he crafted handmade flutes for several years. His wife Jean is also a flute maker. They now own a flute making shop where they make new flutes for Haynes flutes and Powell flutes. They also do flute restauration, overhauls and upgrades.
