Bosco's Tales of Greenpernt Fiddlin' is a bunch of Bosco's own bouillabaisse, and sounds kinda like Hank Williams-meets-Andy Warhol-meets-The funky Four + 1, in a good place. And that place is Greenpoint, Brooklyn, colloquially known as Greenpernt.

Straight outta Brooklyn, Bosco tells tales of Greenpernt Fiddlin' and then some on his self-created, self-produced new release. The New York native has a groovy track record. In his youth, he played bass with the legendary West Coast punk band UXA. That led to his enlistment in the Darby Crash Band, shortly before Crash's tragic demise. Fellow band mates included guitar player Pat Smear, since those days an itinerant Nirvana and Foo Fighters bandmember, also known for his work with the seminal punk band the Germs.

Bosco countrified punk rock in the early eighties with Big Fat Love, a band he led with pals Mike D from the Beastie Boys and John Berry, a former Beastie Boy. Bosco was the lead singer for the crew. The album HELL HOUSE was released in 1996 on the GRAND ROYAL label, produced by Adam Yauch aka MCA .

While shipwrecked on the small Caribbean isle of Martinique, Bosco played trumpet in a local dance band les pyramides, the carnival band la sauss as well as the terre san ville fanfare which performed at funerals and village fetes. meanwhile, Bosco worked on crafting the cool sounds heard on Bosco's Tales of Greenpernt Fiddlin', which also contains the contributions of ace musician Eric Hubel, who stints with Foetus and performs regularly. Eric recently performed in the Glen Branca piece 100 PALL MALLS at the prestigious world trade center located in beautiful downtown manhattan. A musical journey of pythagorean proportions alittle wierd and definitely not boring. Enjoy.
