Album Notes

Bosko formed in September of '03 when singer/guitarist/songwriter Dave Newton, drummer/percussionist Ryan Kirkpatrick and bassist Greg Smitha came together with similar musical ideas and goals. After putting together a set list of cover music with a handful of originals, Bosko began performing and built a strong fan base doing weekly shows at Little Cheers, along with some occasional shows around the Evansville circuit.

In March of '04, Eddy Minnette joined Bosko to add vocals and percussion while sharing lead/rhythm guitar duties with Dave. In late '05, Eddy left Bosko to pursue other interests after two years with the band. The search for a replacement was a short one - Dave Brewster, an accomplished local guitarist, joined Bosko in January of '06.

In the spring of 2006, Bosko hit the studio to record their debut album. After a year in the making, production has wrapped and the CD is now available! The band released "Ladies and Gentlemen" in June 2007 under gator9 Music.

Excellent songs that I have enjoyed listening to over and over!
author: Scott
Ladies and Gentlemen is an excellent accomplishment. The songs are very well crafted and I've found myself enjoying listening to this CD several days in a row on the way to and from work. That is not typical of me! The recording is excellent. Therefore, the quality of the musicianship is allowed to shine! I'm looking forward to the next one from BOSKO!
