(adj.) 1?2 of the Boss’z

First of all “I ain’t no killa, but don’t push me.”
man, it’s been a long time comin. I can almost
remember this sh*t like yesterday. It was a cold a*s
night, at least that’s what my mom told me, on the
15th day of February , I was conceived by a powerful
woman. Her name is Norma Louise Wilson. Mom dukes is
the type of character that would give her last just
for a laugh. You get it? My father goes by the name
loverman. That was something established back when his
band, the rockays, was the jump off. My father was
born and raised to be a pure bred old school hustla.
He’s the type of nig*a that won’t fu*k wit ya if he
can’t make no money wit ya. And yea speaking of my
brother, it’s just something special about that dude.
Tell me this: how in the he*l can one person be a full
time graduate student, music producer/ artist, and a
full time social worker? Yea right. ‘I know!’ that’s
just a little too much. Now, all jokes aside, I love
my fu*king brother! I don’t know what I’d be without
him, besides the right thing. He has showed me
everything a nig*a from the hood could possibly show
me. From bagging up to breaking down, from bagging
bit*hes to baggy pants, from bags of money to people
that’s funny, from white cops to black cops, and just
being a man in general. You should always have
somebody like that on your team, cause money talks and
bit*h sh*t walks. And yea, I’m bout that money! So
holla at your boy.

‘Ok ok.’

VEGO: (noun.) A go-getter

(adj.) 1?2 of tha Boss’z.

“ Why can’t it all be so simple?” I remember when my
mom first told me that a hard head makes a soft a*s.
but anyway, I had to learn the hard way. Just imagine
living in a county wit a population of less than 6,000
folks, 5 stoplights, and 3 corner stores. That sounds
like some claustrophobic sh*t! but despite all the
distraction, myself, my mother and 3 little brothers
are still survivors.

I’ve always had to play the father figure. Yea, just
like any father, he walked out on us at an young age,
but I managed to ,mature into something serious. My
mom, on the other hand, is more like a big sister/
supporter, yea. She works from 9 to 5, got 3 boys and
still holds her fort down. The one thing that I regret
in life was dropping out of school. But you know what
- “a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.” oh, I
almost forgot, I finished school in june of 2004. But
anyway, I’m on the grind better than ever now. You
see, I grew up around them old school cats, so now
it’s like I’m young, but I’m living like I’m 30 plus.
So believe I roll with goons, they shop and go get
them. I’m bout paper and ready for war.

REVIEWS

for a first time introduction to boss of tha boss'z, it's been a great one!
author: space junkies magazine
i got the album free from the boss'z off myspace. i have a feeling these guys could throw themselves into any style of hip-hop(freestlye,battle, etc.)and really come across as a superb set of entertainers. just their voices alone are pleasant to listen to, i'd love to hear a accapella with the boss'z stripped down to just their lyrics/vocals. some rappers stick to your bones while others bounce off you and disperse into thin air- these guys definitely stick to your bones! my favorite tracks would include "stop hatin" ,"yeah","fire in da hole"and "bounce" are one of those songs that get you in the party mood.for a first time introduction to boss of tha boss'z it's been a great one. i definitely will be keeping my eyes open for their next release in the future.(wednesday elektra)
