Boss Hogg Outlawz is a Houston based label started by rapper Slim Thug and his brother Rayface. The label is the name sake of the group as well, which includes Slim Thug, Killa Kyleon, J-Dawg, Young Black, PJ, Chris Ward, Sir Daily and the label's sole R&B artist, Rob Smallz. In 2000, after a year and a half of being an artist on Michael 5000 Watts and OG Ron C's Swishahouse label, he decided to venture out on his own after realizing he can earn more money on his own instead of splitting it with a load of artists and getting next to nothing. Over the years, they have released numerous mixtapes and street albums. In 2004, Slim signed his first major label contract with Interscope Records which enabled him to keep making independent albums, signed Killa Kyleon and Interscope also nationally distrubted the label's biggest release, Slim's Already Platinum which was released in 2005 after heavy bootlegging which delayed the original 2004 release date. The album certified Gold. In 2007, Boss Hogg Outlawz released Serve & Collect through Koch Records. In 2008, after label shakeups and minimal communication from Interscope, and numerous delays for his sophmore album, Boss of All Bosses, Slim asked for his release from the label to take BHO back to its independent roots.
