The roots of this roots band go deep. Lead singer Richard Boyd came to love the Tele twang and pedal steel swells of Honky Tonk at his father's knee. Richard Sr. recorded two country songs in a music store in the 1950s just a few doors down from the art studio where the bo-stevens got their start.
In August 2004 they celebrated the release of "Can'ts Never Could," a mix of original songs and old-school covers, which was lauded in the local press for its unvarnished honesty and retro leanings.
Now, amid local gigs and Heavy Rebel weekenders, travels through Virginia, Georgia, and the Carolinas, the band (Richard vocals/guitar, Greg Bell Lead guitar, Jeff Shu backing vocals, pedal steel and mandolyn, Billie Feather bass and vocals, and Mark Puerifoy drums) has released its latest collection of cheating, drinking, lovin and leavin songs in the album "A Little More Road" 14 original country songs live here and so does true country music.
Hope you enjoy the tunes.
KEEP IT COUNTRY.
