A legend rediscovered.

Wow! I always wondered what happened to the "Stolen Peaches", that legendary New England band of the 60s? I see at least part of that legend lives on. It's great to hear the keyboards and singing of Dick Bourgault again. His voice is better than ever. His new music is contemporary, although I can still hear those fingers running across those keys, along with his distinctive vocal style. I love the songs, lyrics and arrangements. It's so cool to see that Dick is still going stronger than ever. Keep it up.

This new CD is fun and very catchy.
author: John from Michigan

I have been enjoying Dick’s Acts of Reason CD for the past year. That CD is full of jazzy piano riffs and interesting instrumental arrangements. Although most of the music is instrumental, there are two vocals on that CD. The one vocal, African Queen, is an exceptional, touching and dramatic song. Summer Nights has more vocals and less actual piano. I love the blend of instrumentals and vocals. If you like piano and keyboards, Dick is an exceptional artist. If you like sensitive and meaningful lyrics and catchy melodies, Dick also delivers. My favorite is the title song, Summer Nights. It opens with a up beat Latin rhythm and Spanish guitar and breaks into a very catchy song about one of those perfect summer nights that remind us of being in the Caribbean. I also love Can’t Stop Thinking. The opening of that song reminds me of the Alan Parsons Project, jazzy piano with very haunting strings and rhythms. Always Love Them is tear jerker for all of us who love our pets. Yuletide Journey could be a xmas classic with its Currier and Ives images. Raging Seas is a heavy rock number. Good Harbor Day is a light, perky, uplifting piano jazz number. There is a wide range of moods and expressions on this CD. I’m not sure if I like Acts of Reason or Summer Nights better. They are both very listenable, memorable, and fun.
