One of our fans said it better than we ever could....
"Irish punk without the plastic paddy posing."
"Hailing from the same county in Ireland as the infamous Christy Moore, Blood or Whiskey have more in common with Irish-Londoner's The Pogues than with their countyman. Rough, rugged, heartfelt vocals over paddybeat/punk music complete with tin whistle, bouzouki, accordian and banjos. Their second album, No Time To Explain shows a band that's progressing with each and every release. It's no wonder they're shared show billing with some of the greats including Mister Dubliner Himself, Ronnie Drew!
Do yourself a favor and check them out, even if it's just to hear their song for Bob, oops I mean, SIR Bob Geldof appropriately titled, Your Majesty....Great stuff indeed."

A great new style I discovered and love
author: Haley
No Time to explain is great. I heard Blood or Whiskey at a concert, and liked the group better then the main band that was playing that night. It's a new style for me, but I can't get enough of it. Buy this CD.

Worth every penny !
author: Carol Ann
This may just become the anthem CD for this summer, The one that will be shared with the entire town, as I play it far too loud , drive around town with the top down, or on the outdoor speakers at home. It's just a little more progressive than some Celtic Punk, and the songs stick in my mind....like a small cd player in my head that starts as soon as I wake in the morning. This is real punk, as opposed to some music that is kind of borderline traditional. (and that voice... what more can I say ? )
Buy it... love it... (Please make the first cd available for sale also)

Melodic, Catchy, and to the point Celtic Music

The CD starts off a bit slow but does get better as it progresses. They do a wonderful cover of the traditional "Follow me up to Carlow", more traditional shit would be nice...but it's a good cd...pick it up
