FINALLY - A performing songwriter whose music is obviously written, recorded, and performed from the heart and soul, rather than from the paint by numbers guidelines that so many aspiring writers use today.
Singer/songwriter Tripp Boykin has created an incredible collection of 11 original songs that are an addictive blend of musical textures in the stylistic traditions of such artists as Five For Fighting, Phil Collins, Matchbox 20, Edwin McCain, and Bruce Hornsby.
The music on Middleton Station is charged with disarmingly honest and sincere lyrics presented within passionate and soulful arrangements and performances. Boykin's piano/vocal based songs are welcomed listening to those of us who enjoy excellent pop-rock music...and especially if you enjoy the pop-rock music of the late 80's and early 90's.

BOYKIN ON TOUR WITH THE DOC ROCK BAND "CHIEF COMPLAINT"
Boykin is excited to have been asked to join the classic rock band, "Chief Complaint" as primary keyboard player and as backing/lead vocalist. Chief Complaint is a classic rock, covers band made up almost entirely of medical doctors, but includes local veteran rockers as well. Chief Complaint is tremendously popular and enjoys a sizable and growing fan following. Boykin sees his performing with Chief Complaint as an opportunity to relax, have some fun as a supporting player, and work on his craft.
"I have been a big fan of Chief Complaint for some time and have had the pleasure of working with them in the past on a variety of levels (live production, jam sessions). However, I have always made it clear to the guys that I really, really wanted a full-time member role when the opportunity comes along...and it did. These guys are sharp musicians and really know how rock a show. In turn, I have been wanting an opportunity to be a part of a band and really work on my keyboard skills and ensemble/live playing. I enjoy the solo shows and such, but I REALLY wanted to be a part of something where I wasn't the center of the production. Chief Complaint is awesome and I am having such a great time with the band. Playing live with these guys has helped me find a renewed energy in working on my own solo material."

BOYKIN IS CURRENTLY DOING PRE-PRODUCTION AND WRITING FOR HIS NEXT ALBUM. Although Boykin appreciates the eagerness and urging of his fans for the release of the next record, he is determined not to rush the process or release a record just for the sake of releasing.
