Album Notes

Brian Pharaoh is as comfortable surfing waves in Southern California as he is working cattle at his family's ranch in Central Oklahoma.

Brian grew up in a family with a long tradition in the cattle industry. He spent most of his time at rodeos, raising livestock, hunting and fishing. When he wasn't doing these things, he was 4-wheeling in his truck, blaring his music, chasing girls, and the like.

Brian lived a little on the edge as a kid, but despite constantly getting into trouble, his mother and father raised him with sense not to go too wild, teaching him the gospel and respect. He comes from a tightly knit family that looks out for one another.

Brian's dad loves to play instruments and sing; he introduced Brian to music when Brian was a toddler. Growing up, he always loved his dad's deep, unique vocals, especially when he'd do spirited gospel numbers at church.

When he was four, Brian knew he wanted to be on stage. He excelled as an actor at a young age and showcased his talent doing musicals and plays, performing in theater and film during high school and college.

As he traveled around in military school, college and the Army, people always commented on his "southern accent". He had some trouble in auditions because of his resonating twang voice; directors thought he was a natural for musicals like "Oklahoma" and "Annie Get Your Gun". This always reminded Brian that he is a true grit, country boy.

Brian took an unusual path to becoming a country singer. Whether it was baling hay on a tractor in the fields of Oklahoma or firing main gun rounds in a tank while serving in the armed forces, he's kept those country tunes in his ears. His love is country, where his roots are. It just makes sense that Brian should fill some boots in country music. With his performing skills, flexible baritone vocals, and lady-killer looks, he's whetting his appetite for bigger and better things. What more could country music lovers be asking for?
