Shades of old, touches of new
author: Lee Burton
This lovely CD by Barry Phillips contains many pieces with the feel of rennaisance music but with a bit of a modern touch to them. The voice of the cello is a joy and the accompanying instruments make for a rich and beautiful tapestry of sound. From end to end, this is fine listening.

Want to be moved and feel some beautiful music?
author: Barry Hartzell
If you like solo cello, Celtic emotion, with some world flavor mixed in, don't miss this wonderful masterpiece of instrumental music. The exquisite ensemble Barry has joining him complements his mastery on the cello, bringing forth the entire breadth of feelings in Celtic music. It will enrich and soothe, excite and mystify. My favorite tracks are #1 and #15(the first and last)it couldn't be more perfect-the appetizer(the most anticipated), the meal(lots of fun getting through it), and the dessert-(the sweetest for the end), and the tip is: GET IT! It satisfies in style. Not many CDs are truly this good. Enjoy.
