This series of childhood recollections, narrated in old style Island talk, may arouse similar memories in those born and raised in Hawaii, particularly those who now live away from Island shores. Imagine an early teen youngster, influenced by villains and superheroes of comic books and scary movies of the 1940's, accompanying his mom to the library on Thursday evenings so he can have "adventures!" Nobody around except two young rascals intent on climbing down through the skylight into the now dark ice cream parlor! What's this about the Green Hornet and his friend Kato? Or Tarzan? And what about a long, dark and scary cobwebbed tunnel deep in the middle of the jungle? And do you remember swimming out to bodysurf when, suddently, out of nowhere, a gigantic wave bigger than a three-story building rises up in front of you? Keyboard and sound effect by John Heartson. This recording combines two early CD's of Bradajo's Pidgin Talk: SOOPA HERO MONSTA and BAREFOOT DAYS.
