Album Notes

Bradley Kerns currently resides in Lexington, KY with his wife Katie, their two sons Charley and Simon, and their dog Sydney. When not convincing his two year old that he does not in fact need to wear his life jacket to bed, he teaches and plays music in the Lexington area. He received an MM in trombone performance from Boston University while studying with Scott Hartman and a BMME from the University of Kentucky while studying with Dale Warren. Brad currently teaches within the Diocese of Lexington as well as at Asbury University.

A University of Kentucky graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Mathematics, Ryan Shirar is well known throughout the greater Lexington, KY community as a conductor, pianist, and arranger. He is founding director of Paragon Music Theatre, a musical theatre production company located in Central Kentucky. He serves as accompanist at Berea College, University of Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky University and also travels frequently as a guest performer, lecturer, and clinician for national and international music conferences. He and Brad have collaborated on a number of projects since attending the University of Kentucky as undergraduates.

I would like to thank the following people that helped make this recording project possible. David Henderson at DBH Sound for all of his help with recording and sound engineering. Stephen Dorsett for his great artwork. Scott Heersche, Arlo Thompson, Timothy Tesh, Lynn Steeves, Louis Bremer, Seth Vatt, John Wilmarth, and Danny Cecil for their willingness to play for the album. Clay Gonzalez, Terrence Wright, and Lee Thomason for writing amazing new compositions. Sally Stevens and Lexington Catholic High School for the use of the theater for recording space.
