About the CD
This CD is Brad Payne's first solo project. It is a compilation of songs he has written from age 17 until the night before the last recording session. Each song tells a story about a time in his life, some good and some not so good, but they are all a part of him now and will be forever and that is...The Paynefull Truth.

Description of each song in Brad's words:

Beach in Carolina - written while spending the night on a friend's couch to assure my parents that being a songwriter and solo artist was okay.

Why Can't I Say What I'm Feeling - written to break up with a girl I was seeing.

John - written for my best friend in high school to tell him I missed the things we did when life was easier.

Talk to you - written for some friends who talked to me during a rough time.

It's Two Easy - written for a friend that was not only beautiful but also a beautiful person.

My Father - written for my father when his father had passed away.

Oh Carolina - written for my family at the Fish Market in Kill Devil Hills, NC.

By the Way I Can Tell - written for a quickly failing relationship.

You of All People - written when I had lost something special and had no one to blame but myself.

The Paynefull Truth - written years before the words were true, as a dream. Now things have changed, as have I, but no matter what, we all must face our own Paynefull truth.

About Brad
Brad Payne is a singer songwriter and has traveled around America writing about things he has seen and people that he has met. He has a unique personality and worldview that comes through every song that he writes. He sees the workingman's America, and that is his inspiration. He is living his childhood dream; this is all that he has ever wanted to do.

Brad plays acoustic guitar and sings from his soul. Music is his way and it radiates from his heart. His music reflects an open and honest view of life that everyone can relate to. This CD takes you back to a more peaceful place in time. His songs will touch your heart and soul.

Brad has a strong clear voice that is perfectly accompanied by an acoustic guitar using his warm, intricate, crisp finger picking style. He plays to the audience, drawing crowds near the venues where he performs. He loves to take requests; his portfolio of cover songs includes over 300 tunes by over 200 different artists.
