ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Brad Rabuchin is a LA based guitarist who splits time between leading his own band and a successful carrier as a sideman. Some of the Brads’ credits include: Bonnie Rait, Roy Hardgrove, Louie Bellson, Pat Martino, Steve Turre, Al Kooper, Steve Wonder, Buddy Miles, Lean-to, Diane Shurr, David “Fathead” Newman, Willie Nelson and even Mr. Tom Jones. Brad also spent 5 years as the last guitarist with Ray Charles.
Rabuchin’s band is no guitar dominated blowfest, but a musical outing accenting the leader’s compositional sensitivity and the delicate-yet-feisty textures of a carefully-conceived ensemble. His Los Angeles-based band is fueled by the flexible rhythm section of bassist Dean Taba and drummer Kendall Kay, and tastefully inflected by reedman Andy Suzuki.
"Cats Have Edge" is Rabuchin's second CD. It was a recorded live June 28, 06 by Dave Marks at Justplaymusic studio. This session features 7 new tracks that highlight the interaction and evolution of this long standing quartet. Online charts coming soon.
