EvilSponge.com - CorndogOrama review:
"Brainbox has changed, I think since I last saw them. They have a slight prog undertone to their music, although that may just be a side effect of the unusual instrumentation. I didn't hear all of their set, but the folks inside seemed quite appreciative of them. And the music I did hear worked well, and certainly demonstrate that the members of the band have undeniable talent."
Punk Planet - Serial Attractions Review:
"Brain Box sounds like a modern day Elvis Costello and the Attractions"
"...you need to be listening to Brain Box, whose new album Serial Attractions offers skillful craft and a densely layered, deeply focused soundscape that breaks free of the hyper-tough modern rock standard. True to the vibrant tempo and punchy beats of their self-proclaimed punk roots, with a solid dose of the geek-chic rather than mohawk-and-safety-pin vibe, Brain Box serves up a truly enjoyable listening experience...Matt Chenoweth’s powerful guitar solos, in particular, soar out of several tracks into the lower reaches of the Hendrix stratosphere. The music was recorded all in one afternoon, and the album communicates the intimacy and exhilaration of such a session. Serial Attraction flows bouncily from track to up-tempo track, leaving listeners nodding along from start to finish. (Retox Records)

"These songs have both brains, and the outright simple fun of a cardboard box (inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame 2005). Get your brain in this Brain Box now!" - Rich H.
"A fine group of people and a fine record. Cheers guys. All the best." - Eli: Home Team Productions, Atlanta

love this

I love this sound. The band is tight, the music is fantastic - not the same old run of the mill garbage on the radio. These songs, and arrangements, are always revealing something new. They are always interesting, and I've been listening to it non-stop. Can't get enough. Their web site says a new album is on the way - I will definitely be getting a copy when it's released.

Constructive noise that's catchy as hell! It's punky! It's Beatlesy!

These three guys make a lot of noise and it's catchy as hell. The bass and drums rock! The guitar rocks! It all rocks together - they are tight! I'm a sucker for energetic poppy punk and Like Eden, Professional Victim and Will It will keep me from wearing out my Joe Jackson, Look Sharp CD. Also love the funky More Than This and the Beatles-ish Where I've Been which is alternately driving and spacey. Nice harmony vocals throughout and impressive guitar in a variety of styles.
