Nice songs, bad code
author: Bytch Grrrl
Did you know you have HTML code in your review message, Brainwarmer? Now for the CD. It sounds all over the place just like Venus magazine said, but they aslo said it was good and I have to agree. The production quality could be more smooth throughout. The Patsy Cline cover of I Fall To Pieces is twisted twisted twisted. In general a lot of good breakup and funny-sad type songs, morbid and funny not twee though. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Bytch Grrrl

news of some importance
author: Tiffany Lee Brown
Hey y'all, this is Tif from Brainwarmer. First: look, AMY DENIO, artist extraordinaire, wrote nice things about us below! And thanks to John. Anyway, I'm putting this here to say two things:
R.I.P. Elliott Smith. Mister Smith decided that committing seppuku was preferable to living on this planet. While not surprised, upset and sad that the music world had to lose this delicate talent. I hope no one will take our silly, peppy Elliott Smith song in any insulting fashion -- it may be a dorky one, but it was nevertheless a tribute to him. And thank you to all the people who emailed me after his death became known, mentioning our song and disc.
In other cheerful news, Brainwarmer's CD is still available, but we broke up as a band earlier this year. You can sometimes find Larold on ThereminWorld.com, and Eric is playing with Tres Gone/The Gone Orchestra and other projects; his solo music is at MP3.com.
As for me, I'm playing solo under the name Passiflora. Upcoming projects include tracks for Women Take Back the Noise, a collaboration with solo artist Alaura (formerly of Psychic TV), and several appearances at the Enteractive Language Festival. Please email tendrils-subscribe@yahoogroups.com for more info.

That brainwarmer is truly a masterpiece!!!
author: John
Well brainwarmer starts off kickin' like a new born in the womb, but then the Cd is born!! Bringin back feelings of childhood mischief. Then growning on you like a teenager, who talks back, and then needs your help, SO TURN IT UP!!! Slowly simmering in your mind the tune to elliot smiths guitar... when the Cd ends it is amazing how refreshed you feel like you just had an ultra volcanic colonic. Eyes bobing in your head then you realize it is your head in the rearview mirror. Avioding a minivan that has the oldies playing you sense that your brain is warmer than when you started the CD. So you replay the cd, for that ultra smooth feeling you had earlier, the whole day is gone and you are in an euphoric trace of saying "That Brainwarmer is truly a masterpiece!!!"

I dig Tiff...
author: Sully
I think if Liz Phair and Dolores O'Riordan had a child, a girl of course, it would be Tiffany Lee Brown. After listening to just a short clip of "Elliot Smith's Guitar" I felt a little different. I felt a bit giddy or childlike for a moment. I think Tiff is the bees-knees. If she had braids I think I would be chasing her around the schoolyard trying to pull them. Hauntingly cute/sweet voice. Looking forward to more tunes with Passiflora!
