Album Notes

The Brakes are a young and talented band with a purpose. Formed in Philadelphia in 2001, the city has watched them grow from a local buzz band into a unique national touring act. This past year, the band has broken out nationally with a highly praised SXSW Showcase performance, appearances at many major festivals, and with their first national tour, supporting such acts as Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., Willie Nelson & John Fogerty, Live, Widespread Panic, and more!

The band has risen to the top of Philadelphia's highly influential music scene, with multiple EP releases, regular rotation on WXPN, and near capacity headliners at TLA, achieving all of this without a full-length. Now with demand and anticipation of their debut record is at an all time high, The Brakes have returned to the city that helped them grow, to record their first full length this fall.
