Album Notes

The songs on this record represent ideas and experiences that I've had over the last several years. Because I like different songwriting and musical styles, I tend to write songs that don't sound too similar to each other. I believe music and songwriting should be dynamic, not repetitive.

I wrote and arranged the songs on "Foundations of Clay" without a band. I asked musicians in the Chicago area that I've worked with over the years, to play on the record. The album was recorded in several different studios, including my home studio. I mixed the record myself at the Rhythm Cafe in Chicago. It was mastered at Precision Mastering, Los Angeles.
