Another great solo disc from former Rippington, Brandon Fields!

I agree with a previous reviewer that this is one of Fields' best solo projects to date. Definitely a mixed bag of styles from this former and early member of The Rippingtons. All original tunes, too! Two were co-written with his wife, Gina Kronstadt. Love it! Let's hope Brandon does more solo work in addition to his seemingly endless session work. It's been too long since his last release.

Fields Rules ! Brilliant as usual

I admit it : I might be Brandon Fields' bigger fan. To me Fields bridges the gap between "old" and "modern" jazz and is at the crossroads of many different music genres such as jazz, funk, soul and even rock hence making him absolutely unique. Fields NEVER fall in the smooth jazz trap. His music and playing (on all his recordings by the way - also as a session musician) is always inspired, surprising and emotional. This is one of Brandon's best albums. Of course, highly recommended. Bravo Brandon !

This record is HOT. A fabulous collection of players make this album a great listening experience. Brandon once again displays evidence as to why he's been associated with so many pre-eminent musicians.
