Album Notes

Brandon McHose has established himself amongst the elite musicians in Austin, Texas. Originally from the Midwest, he was convinced to move to Austin in 2005 after an audition for David Peckham, Assistant Chair of the Guitar Department, at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Brandon has a strong base in blues/rock and country guitar, but has crossed over into many styles ranging from the hot and sticky delta blues to such contemporary legends as Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Brad Paisley and John Fogerty. Brandon considers himself an acoustic based, contemporary/alternative rock writer with a little country thrown in for good measure.

Having established himself at Austin’s finest live music venues, Brandon and his band plan to tour the Midwest in late summer to follow up the release of his new full length album. The new recording features such legends as Riley Osborne (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lyle Lovett) on Keyboards and Piano, Grammy nominated Chris Maresh on bass along with Tommy Taylor on drums and Stuart Sullivan as engineer.

Like the blues and rock? Like tapping your toes, playing air guitar and being a "star guitarist" in your home/car? Like artists who write a lot of there own songs? You'll love this young and soon to skyrocket musician. Listen to some of the music, then buy it. We use it in our chocolate shop and always get people asking us who the artist is!

This album gives Ryan Adams a run for his money! It is exactly what alternative music was supposed to evolve into; real lyrics, living instrumentals and inspired engineering coming together to meld the hearts and minds of anyone who takes the time to really listen. I'm looking forward to more.

Wonderful guitar music and player

There are 5 songs on this CD that Brandon put on an earlier, trial CD. They were very good then. They are even better now, with the addition of some intricate guitar nuances, and great piano playing and female background vocalists. You can not really typecast this CD, because it defies being placed in any certain category. I like the CD very much and would recommend it to anyone.

Exciting original music from a new artist.

The music on this CD is fresh and exciting. All the music is original. Brandon’s voice has a very mature quality and the instrumentals are complex but, at the same time, easy to listen to. In my opinion, the music transcends geographic regions and musical styles. I’ve listened to the CD several times and each time I hear something that I missed before. It was really a good buy. Although this is Brandon’s first CD, hopefully it won’t be his last. I highly recommend this CD.
