ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"The 8 strands of silk brocade" are Chi Gong exercises developed in ancient China to increase the flow of of Chi, or life-energy throughout the meridians, for the benefit of the whole system whilst also focussing on certain organs or parts of the body.
While the music has been inspired by Chi Gong it has been created for use in meditation, Reiki, and for relaxation.
Bran's Cauldron was the ancient Celtic vessel of rebirth and immortality, and some say, the pre-cursor to the mythology of the Holy Grail.
That said, it is also the sobriquet for a musical project sans frontiers from brothers Ian & Gary Smith, endeavouring to reach some form of Holy Grail in music where there are no genre limitations and everything that's good is put into the pot and given a good stir.
Composed by Ian Smith, a practising Reiki Master, the album "8 strands" is inspired by Reiki and is useful as an aid to meditation and for just chilling out.
