Album Notes

Brant Phillip is a singer/songwriter based in Phoenix, AZ. Often likened to Jack Johnson, his fusion of folk, jazz, pop, country and Americana is sure to offer something for all listeners to enjoy. Brant's expressive voice and clever lyrics bring his songs to life and his presence on stage will keep you captivated.

In the summer of 2006 he released his first full length, solo CD - Just Me...(also available here on CDBaby). This was truly a solo effort in that he wrote, played, recorded, engineered and mixed the CD himself, as well as designing the artwork.

Late in 2006 Brant connected with Phoenix area musician Jim Christopherson (percussionist). Their colaboration led to the recording of Smile For a Song. Brant invited his long time friend Jason Swanson (bass) from Minneapolis to record the bass tracks. Magic was made and the result is this album.
