Album Notes

It was in mid 2004 that the idea of forming a band actually began to motivate us to do it. Trinidad Drive, the prelude to the energetic ensemble now known as Bravo Armada, initially consisted of current Bravo members Robby Allsopp and Kerry Schrage, former Bravo member Anthony Olexa, and guitarist Ryan Darby. While some decent music was written in our TD Days, a series of arguements and member changes eventually brought Trinidad Drive to a halt. We parted ways but none of us was about to give up writing music. Even as Trinidad fell apart Bravo Armada was preparing to spring from its ashes.

April 22, 2005, 5:15 PM, We--Kerry Shrage, Robby Allsopp, Anthony Olexa, and new guitarist Jason--step up to the stage at the Satellite Beach Club Infinity to play our first show in one of the Battle of the Bands gigs organized by local production company Little Reggies. Aside from shaky nerves and a few off notes we decided the performance could have been worse. We did, however, immediatly note that it lacked the energy we wanted people to see. The energy that we would have wanted to see. So we made rocking a top priority. Throwing our instruments around is more fun than playing songs we hear everyday anyway. For every new song we wrote we made sure that an adequate amount of headbanging and guitar swings were dispered throughout so that fans would have a reason to come see us live and not just pop in a CD.

So about a year and just over 50 shows later we started recording our first album. Robby had built up a decent studio in his room so we decided to do the entire record ourselves and after borrowing a bunch of equipment from some friends we got started. Kerry jammed out the drum tracks in a week and the guitars were completed two weeks later. We began recording vocals toward the very end of the summer but did not end up completing them before Robby went off to college. During school Robby mixed, mastered, and then mixed and mastered a few more times before being satisfied, brought home the sweet trax over winter break and the band finished recording.

Thats our story so far, but with any luck it will continue to write itself until its an insane novel full of wild partying, moshing, and mayhem in general. Thanks for your support!! Peace, Love, Bravo

This is one of the best albums I've purchased on CDBaby. It starts with a hard-hitting introductory song like Dream Catcher, and doesn't let up for the rest of the disc! Bravo Armada successfully blends intricate melodies with heart-and-fist-pounding ferocity!
