Album Notes

Formed in 2005, the foundation of Braxton Bragg is made up of the songwriting and performing abilities of 4 road-tested musicians from the Portland area. Their influences mix timeless rock in high-energy original songs mined from the rich vein of southern-style rock. Produced locally at Opal Studios in Southeast Portland, this debut CD is a stunning example of lightening caught in a bottle - true performances where you can feel the devotion to musicianship and the love of a good rock song. (Please note: This CD has been fully glass-mastered (pressed - not burned)and comes to you shrink-wrapped in a full-size jewel case with extensive liner notes.)

I love this guy's sound and band. If you like Amanda Overmyer in her new album Solidfy of classic southern rock, then you'll like this album also... similar sound, electric guitarsm kick drums. All songs groovy great!

If you like southern rock (which I do) you will love the sound of BB. These guys show that Ronnie Van Zant's influence didn't just touch the southern man, but reached all the way to Portland (and Iceland, for that matter). BB puts their own flavor on the southern rock sound,it and it is a winner. Somewhere upstairs, Ronnie is smiling. pat bacon PS - great cover photo.

Nice to see a great rockin' band from Portland. Love the way they bring a mix of the good ol' Southern Rock with a touch of good old Rock-n-Roll. The lyrics are great and each song tells a story that many can relate too! Hope to see this band locally soon (missed last weeks show) should be good.
