Album Notes

“Braziliando” plays an enchanting mix of Samba, Bossa Nova & Brazilian Jazz. Featuring the beautiful guitar playing and soulful vocals of Kleber Jorge, a native of Rio De Janeiro, singing in both Portuguese and English. Kleber has been a touring member of the Sergio Mendez band for many years. Also from Brazil, percussionist Cassio Duarte, who's played with a long list of Brazilian and jazz stars from Gal Costa to Djavan to Toots Thielmans. Cassio provides the raw rhythmic energy and hypnotic pulse, playing a wide variety of Brazilian & African drums and percussion instruments. The lyrical and passionate saxophone and flute playing of Robert Kyle round out this trio. Robert too has a long list of jazz credits, and he has a deep love for Brazilian music that shows up in every note he plays.

The members of “Braziliando” have been performing together for over 10 years. Their debut CD "Tempo de Brasil" features a mix of instrumental and vocal music, with several songs from the pen of the great Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as songs by other contemporary Brazilian composers, and original material too.

Braziliando: travel companion to dreams beyond the clouds.
author: Keni
It wasn't a typical day when I began my journey with 'That Other Place', the CD that introduced me to Robert Kyle. I have since roamed the streets with him on 'Solo Sax', voyaged with him in 'Time', wandered with him over the 'Brazilian Moon', explored with him through 'Doors' and sailed with him upon 'Blue Winds.' As I prepare to return to Brazil, Braziliando (Robert's latest CD) will be my traveling companion. Wherever you go in life, you will find a sound navigator and journey-man in the music of Robert Kyle.

Authentic, Enthusiastic and Intoxicating

As a musician in search of great Latin music, I struck gold the moment I logged on to Robert Kyle's website and listened to the tunes available on Robert Kyle radio. The unbelievably rich sound of the sax and hypnotic pulse of the rythms enticed me to sit back, close my eyes, breath deeply and listen closely. A must have for my CD collection, I look forward to more from this trio!
