ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A few years ago I saw a photo of a couple standing on the pier over looking the calm waves of a serene sea. The photo captured perfectly the majesty of the water and sky as it melted into each other through sunset and also the couples' pure bliss with just being in each others company, no words said or needed. At the bottom of the page it said "Behind every picture is a story." I started to wonder about this couples' story. Who were they, how did they meet, where were they going to go, what lead them to meet each other and how would their relationship continue? I still think about that picture at times trying to answer those questions. It is amazing how that one photo, (even though I do not know who the artist was, and they probably were not famous) has impacted my life. Now as I release my first album to the public I am again taken back to that photo and the quote that has been so impressed in my mind. However I would like to change the context of the quote a bit for music, behind every song there is a story. Truly, I am sure that is how it is for each composer and song writer, something is felt, and inspired and then created. Yet the story behind why I wrote a certain song is not as important as the story behind why the listener connects to a certain song. That is my whole goal and purpose behind created music is so that someone else can own it through what they feel and what it brings them back too. In my album Thank You For...behind those three dots are the things you are grateful for. Listen to it, feel it, own it, is my hope. Thank you for sharing this with me.
