Album Notes

Brenda Hanson, from Whitefish, Montana, debuts her new solo ablum, "Who's Foolin' Who". She has created a collection of songs flavored from her childhood growing up on a farm in Washington State, with roots extending to the hollers of Kentucky. These expressions of heartfelt emotion exemplify the soul, spirit and ever-changing definition of life. We are taken through interesting and varied arrangements, as in "Emery's Ground"(inspired by her strong family heritage), a lover's journey to and from heartache in "Someone's Fool" and the gifts of cancer in "Walt's Guitar". Highlights include skillful instrumentation from a pool of fine northwest musicians and special harmonies presented by her four sisters, "The Fletcher Girls". Brenda's vocal work clearly captures each song's unique intent. Of special note is the addition of her parent's contribution to this album, "Dixie", going straight to the heartland, to the place where it all began. Masterfully recorded and produced by Lars Pointer, Cougar Canyon Studio, Woods Bay, Montana.

This CD brought so much comfort to my husband Jim, as he was going through stem cell transplant. What a special person this angel Brenda was to him! He also enjoyed the Fletcher Sister CD.
