Album Notes

Brenda Kay was born singing…. Anywhere there was a stage or a listening ear, she would sing her heart out. She was raised with country music playing and it’s just in her blood now. “Every time I pick up the guitar to write….it just comes out country. It’s just who I am.” Growing up, her family would take her out to Oplin, Texas and she would dance to that old two stepping country music.
With a toilet paper roll with a ball of foil on top, she would sing endlessly in front of the mirror. Her all time favorite Christmas present was her very own karaoke machine given to her by her Papaw.
“I am sure I drove them crazy with my hours upon hours of karaoke in my bedroom!”
She started singing competitively at the age of 10….and it has never really stopped.
Self taught on guitar and with no vocal training it seems to come out so easy and natural.
She is now gearing up for the release of her first album and excited to see where it will take her and her dreams.
Her current single Dirt’s Still Red is quickly climbing the charts!
