I moved to Buffalo, New York in 2009 and things were such that I had to do some work on an assembly line in Hamburg, NY. I worked on a printing press and the second night I was there; I noticed it made a rhythm and a pitch whenever the worker on that printing press pushed the foot pedal. It was two sixteenth notes, then an eighth note, and followed by a quarter note during inconsistent time signatures.

Brent Blount has been a foundational piece of the Oklahoma Jazz and Blues community for the last 22 years, and he currently resides in Cheektowaga, New York. Brent frequents local jam sessions, performs and records. Consequently, he is returning to Oklahoma. Doug Hill of Pop Magazine describes the experience of his performance as "Falling into a slow grove, he found intonations that escalated from the icy depths into bright crisp sunshine. Staccato stutter-steps danced off into brass oblivion. Blount played entire long solos with eyes closed, opening at the conclusion as if waking from a sweet dream (2000)."
